The 2015 Cassiopeia MCF * CAPH is mostly a Merlot with 16% Cabernet Franc blended in, aged for 24 months in new American oak. Light garnet with bricking. Dried red and black fruits on the nose. Mature palate with open aromas delving deep into the forest structuring the whole. A vanilla note on the finish adds its share of freshness. MCF has reasonable mid-palate finesse and precision, a backbone and admirable structure overall.
